This orientation video walks students through the internship search and application process at Hofstra’s Lawrence Herbert School of Communication. The focus was a friendly approach to a sometimes overwhelming process, told through ten guided steps.
The video was designed primarily in Adobe After Effects and Illustrator.

Designing a Tiny World
An isometric art style was chosen for this project because it comes across as friendly, lovable, and easily identifiable. Every character, setting, and object in the video follows this style, giving the small world a sense of unity. The primary goal was an orientation that is informative but charming.

A Familiar Environment
Almost every setting in the video is inspired by a real location on Hofstra University’s campus, so students and faculty will recognize it from their own campus experience.*
